Three women were surprised Nov. 30 with billboards in Oakland bearing their photographs and recognizing their leadership on clean energy: Jodi Pincus, Jing Jing He and Emily Kirsch.
President and executive director of the Rising Sun Energy Center, Pincus oversees a green job training program. He is Oakland community organizer for the Asian Pacific Environmental Network, advocating for environmental and social justice.
Kirsch is co-founder and CEO of Powerhouse, an Oakland co-working space and seed fund that invests in energy entrepreneurs building software-enabled technology for the clean energy industry. She was also inducted into the Alameda County’s Women’s Hall of Fame and was the recipient of the C3E award for Entrepreneurship.
