The Solutions Project is excited to welcome its first Chief Program and Operations Officer – Clare Winterton.
Clare is bringing her communications, philanthropy, advocacy, and operations experience in gender equity to support frontline communities innovating climate justice solutions.
Clare Winterton, Chief Program and Operations Officer said, “I am honored and excited to take on this role at such a critical moment for accelerating grassroots climate action. The Solutions Project is a leader in the space and I look forward to helping further its bold, innovative, and movement-centered agenda.”
Prior to The Solutions Project, Clare was a Senior Advisor to the United Nations’ Generation Equality initiative, a major venture which secured over $40 billion in initial commitments. Clare was previously the VP of Programs, then COO, of Global Fund for Women, overseeing 250 grants in 50+ countries annually to support gender equity and the growth of feminist movements.

Clare also previously served as the former CEO of the International Museum of Women, an innovative online museum and a global hub for digital story-telling, art and advocacy; the Vice President at the Women’s Funding Network, where she spearheaded the launch of Women Moving Millions; and the Head of Communications at King Charles’ UK Charity for young people, the Prince’s Trust.
